THE PROGRAM:
There are two elements to the Parkville's softball program. The Parkville Girl's Softball Teams and the Parkville "Down & Dirty Fast Pitch" girl's softball league.Parkville's "Down & Dirty Fast Pitch" Girl's Softball League is modeled after the Girl's Catholic High School Athletic Association Softball League (GCHSAA) and Public School Athletic League (PSAL). We play the same style of fast pitch softball, with the same rules, in both the Junior Varsity and Varsity Divisions, with exception in our 8 & under division. Our goals are to have fun and prepare girls for high school & college participation in that order. At Parkville everybody plays ball !
Parkville's Girls Softball Teams Eligibility:
Girls between the ages of seven & eighteen are permitted to participate in Parkville's Girls softball teams. Girls five & six are encouraged to play in the baseball Pee Wee league. The teams are divided by division in various age groups.
Junior Varsity Division - 8 to12 years old
Varsity Division - 13 to 18 years old
Collegiate Division - 18 years and over (not presently active)Clinics:

Introducing A New Girl’s Softball Program - Ages: 8 & under
Parkville Youth Organization In-house Softball Program
Parkville will be starting a new girl’s softball program for girls 8 & under. It will be a strictly instructional, in-house program designed to teach all the softball basics and to have FUN. We think there is too much stress on our children and we don’t want to add to it.
· High school softball coaches will manage the program.
· All Players will practice together.
· All Players will have the same uniform with a reversal top.
· Teams will be formed at each game to insure equality of the teams.
· All games and practices will be held on the PYO field.
· Every girl plays every game.Parkville acknowledges the need for a program that will develop girls to be Fastpitch Softball players. We feel by removing the competitive edge at the age of 8 & under the girls will be more incline to learn the game at a quicker pace. This will enable them to enjoy the game and increase their passion for it.
