Parkville Youth Organization (PYO) is a Not-For-Profit corporation charted
by the State of New York. It was organized "to establish a youth program
constituting a recreational and sports program; to encourage and stimulate
interests in sports; to support sports recreation in the community; to provide
for the mutual assistance, enjoyment, improvement and entertainment of its
members in the participation of sports, pursuits, enjoyments and similar
activities; to inculcate in its members the highest ideals and concepts
of Americanism; to promote better association among the youth of the community,
regardless of race, color, creed or national origin."
PYO is governed by a Board of Directors, elected annually in November, consisting
of the Officers, (President, Vice President, Secretary, Asst. Secretary,
Treasurer and Asst. Treasurer), the Past President, who is the Trustee,
The Advocate, who serves as the Legal Counsel, and Four elected Directors.
PYO is strictly a volunteer organization and all members, including the
Directors and Officers, are volunteers. No member receives remuneration
of any kind regardless of the services rendered or time spent on PYO activities.
